Tan is a freelance photographer. He serves as the Committee for the Photography Society of Malacca and Competition Chairman. He has been seriously practicing photography since the early 80s. He has been actively involving in organising photography activities that promotes Malacca as shooting destination for photo enthusiasts.

Daniel Ooi is a Multiple International Award-winning Master Photographer also is the CREATIVE DIRECTOR and PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHER of Daniel Ooi Fine Art Gallery, one of the top photography gallery in asia.
In 2010, Daniel joined the Wedding & Portrait Photographer International (WPPI)USA, also my debut participation photography competition. In the competition, 3 of his artwork won awards and recognition,
In this competition, it gives he a rare opportunity to get to know and interact with photographer from different countries in the world, including professional photographer from Malaysia, with the objective to contribute in upgrading my photography quality to next level.
Same year, he are obtained Licentiate Qualification from Master Photographer Association (MPA)UK and Qualified Professional Photographer WPPM(Malaysia).
"Be Yourself, Create Unique!" is the inspiration behind Daniel Ooi photography style.
