Nikon Club State Liaisons Annual Meeting at Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan
(April 6th, 7th & 8th)
Nikon Club Malaysia held its annual gathering of State Liaisons in Port Dickson from 6th to 8th April. A total of 19 State Liaisons from around Malaysia and Brunei attended this meeting. Also present in this meeting were the Management Committees of Nikon Club Malaysia represented by David Ng, General Manager of Marketing Dept, Mr.Mahfooz NR, Manager of Nikon Professional Service (NPS), Mr. Decward Chong, Service Manager, Ms. Yeo Su Kuan, Mr. Thomas Kwan, Mr. Siew Jun Han, and Mr. Kenny Chew from Nikon Malaysia as well as Mr. Alex Moh, Mr. Lim Thian Leong, and Mr. Hafiz Kathi from Nikon Centre Kuala Lumpur.
It has been almost a year since the launch of Nikon Club Malaysia back in 2011. For the past 7 months since September 2011, Nikon Club Malaysia has organized 84 events including Get-togethers, walkabouts to various workshops around Malaysia and Brunei. The membership for Nikon Club Malaysia has also reached a new high of close to 12 thousands by first week of April. Within this time, new state liaisons were being identified and recruited to help Nikon Club reaches out to more Nikon users. Since the last state liaisons gathering in August 2011, the number of state liaisons have grown from 17 to 19. All State Liaisons were officially presented with their appointment letters during the meeting. The 19 state liaisons are as follows:

Nikon Club Malaysia would like to sincerely thank the state liaisons for their contributions and dedication for promoting photography through Nikon Club.
All the state liaisons departed from Nikon Centre KL on the 6th afternoon and reached Thistle Hotel in Port Dickson about 5pm.
Everyone gets to work immediately to plan for the upcoming events for the rest of the year and brainstorming for new activities.
The meeting continued the next morning. Mr. David Ng shared the future directions of Nikon Malaysia and Nikon Club Malaysia to all the state liaisons.
All the state liaisons also get to share their ideas and feedbacks.

State liaisons took the opportunity to express their views on any operational difficulties and ways for improvements.
To improve communication with the members, Mr.Kenny Chew gave a training on utilising facebook to interact better with the members. Nikon Club Malaysia has been utilising facebook page to reach out to members since 2011. At present, all states and Brunei have their own official facebook pages to share information with local members.
After the Nikon Club discussion meeting, Mr.Mahfooz introduced the Nikon Professional Services as well as the latest D800 and D4 cameras with the state liaisons.
